At the heart of every successful

business foresight. Lieutenant Colonel A.J. Amatuzio demonstrated
his keen understanding of these driving forces when he founded AMSOIL
INC., "The First in Synthetics."
As a jet fighter pilot Al
Amatuzio witnessed the extraordinary benefits of synthetic oils used in
jet engines. Seeing the need for these benefits in vehicles, he
formulated the first synthetic motor oil in the world to meet American
Petroleum Institue (API) service requirements for automobile
engines. Other companies claimed that synthetic lubricants bore no
significant advantage over conventional petroleum oiils. That was
1972. Nearly thirty years later, the benefits of synthetics are
widely recognized, and those same companies have followed AMSOIL's lead by

How Do I
Install AMSOIL Synthetic Oils?
AMSOIL recommends flushing your engine before installing AMSOIL
Synthetic Oils. However, you may prefer not to use a flush.

To install AMSOIL Synthetic
Oil in a mechanically sound engine --- with 60,000 miles or less and has
been well maintained with regular and frequent changes of conventional
petroleum oil --- you simply drain your old oil and replace with the new
AMSOIL Synthetic Oil and Oil Filter.
The more miles you have on a
vehicle --- 60,000 miles or more and the longer you have used conventional
petroleum oil --- initially you may need to change the new AMSOIL Synthetic
Oil and Oil Filter before the recommended interval. This is because of the
synthetic oil's high detergency properties which will naturally clean a
dirty engine. If you have any questions, contact us via e-mail or give us a call.
Switching your vehicle over
to synthetic lubricants if it is not mechanically sound is not recommended.
AMSOIL Synthetic Oils will not correct any mechanical problems or defects.
Note: Never flush your
Automatic Transmission, Motorcycle or ATV engine! |
